Join us for a special Black Lives Matter forum this Sunday, July 31st after service in the Sanctuary from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM. The Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) Sacramento Chapter will facilitate, providing an overview about their organization and how they empower white allies to get engaged in the Black Lives Matter movement, and to help explain why the purchase and hanging of a Black Lives Matter banner is an important first step for us to take in our community.
SURJ is also having their first open meeting to the public next month on Wednesday, Aug. 24th at 6:30 PM. See the flyer below and visit their Facebook page to stay up-to-date on upcoming events.
