The Allies of Black Lives Matter (BLM) Sacramento are calling on UUSS to support their January fundraiser to cover this month’s BBQ actions at the District Attorney’s office.

Three times a week for the last 10 months, since Stephon Clark was killed, BLM gathers in front of DA Anne Marie Schubert’s office to let her know they WILL NOT REST until charges are filed against the officers who murdered Stephon. The Root recently named BLM Sacramento one of the “Biggest Winners of 2018” for their continued presence at the District Attorney’s office:

“As we have yet to hear what is going to happen to the two officers who killed Clark and have been back on the job since a month after the shooting, we need the energy of Black Lives Matter Sacramento to continue well into 2019.”

These actions involve a daily BBQ which feeds the community, and costs $800 per month to keep going.
