Our Whole Lives (OWL)

Our Whole Lives (OWL)

OWL is a series of sexuality education curricula for different age groups and helps youth make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. OWL equips youth with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas:

  • human development

  • relationships

  • personal skills

  • sexual behavior

  • sexual health

  • society and culture

Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education

Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, OWL not only provides facts about anatomy and human development, but also helps participants clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality. OWL uses approaches that work.

UUSS will offer the Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education program for two different age groups in the 2024-2025 Religious Education year. Classes for children in grades 4, 5 and 6 and then a separate class for youth in grades 7, 8 and 9.
