It was our Refugee Support Team’s great pleasure to host resettled refugee artists, families, International Rescue Committee (IRC) staff, and many visitors to UUSS for a very full evening of wonderful friendship fueled by great food and beautiful art and music on Saturday, March 11. We especially appreciate all 50+ of the volunteers from UUSS and IRC who contributed food, talents, and friendly outreach by posting our flyers, selling tickets, bringing food, serving food and cleaning up, passing out programs, and opening your hearts to our new neighbors.
Our contributions in ticket sales resulted in a total of over $3,000 raised to support IRC services to refugee families in Sacramento, which is a wonderful result.
