I’m looking at “Purchase supplies from Amazon Wish Lists”. I would think a VISA gift card would be easiest, to give people choice in what to buy. Is there any argument against that? Would everyone have access to a computer to buy things from Amazon and an address to receive their purchases?
Judy, good question. For that matter, you could buy gift cards from Raley’s, Target, or any local store. Perhaps the Amazon wish list is for those who feel more satisfaction knowing they are purchasing tangible items that families will receive and use. And it averts our human temptation to want to give whatever supplies we have left over or whatever second hand things we don’t need anymore, which often happens in humanitarian crises.
