There’s still time to join the IRC in Sacramento for Art for Humanity, an evening event featuring the creativity of refugees resettled in Northern California. This year’s celebration will feature the work of Diyar Al Jazi (creator of Blue Man, above), the music of DJ Ahmed and other refugee artists, with some of Sacramento’s most popular restaurants providing fresh bites, including Fish Face Poke Bar, Metro Kitchen + Drinkery, and refugee owned restaurants and farms.
Beverages include signature cocktails from Bottle & Barlow and wine tasting from Boeger Winery and David Girard Vineyards. Continuing last year’s farm-to-glass tradition, Sudwerk Brewery will create a special beer just for the occasion. The VIP area will be catered by Ella Dining Room and Bar, The Patriot, de Vere’s Irish Pub, and Nello Olivo Wines.

Scott Cooper and I are going to this, along with several members who are volunteers in our Refugee Support Program. If you can make it, I’d love to see you there!
