Thank you so much to all who donated and helped to make our Refugee Welcome Kit event such a success. Not only were we able to put together 9 complete kits, 5 partial kits, and pass on to World Relief several tubs of extra items, including two child car seats, we also raised over $600 for supporting local refugee resettlement. Please see photos of the kit-making assembly below.
With the money we received, Meg Burnett and Chris Gerwig purchased items from Target to help complete kits, and the store matched their expenses in the form of a gift card donation for World Relief to the tune of $300.

If you would still like to donate household goods and furniture items to World Relief, please contact their donations coordinator, Tim Knight, at or

Great work! You folks should all be very proud of your efforts. I hope this is the first of many opportunities to help out our refugee families.
