Becoming American: UUSS Voices of Refugee Experiences

by

Unitarian Universalist Society of Sacramento

Sunday, April 18, 2021

Today, we will hear from three UUSS members (representing three generations) who immigrated from three different countries devastated by war. They will reflect on leaving the lands of their birth and on the experiences of becoming American. (Note: Many of our UUSS neighbors in the Arden Arcade area have deep roots in other countries and came here as refugees. In April we share half of our offering donations with International Rescue Committee of Northern California, which helps refugee families to resettle and begin a new life here.
