Hinduism is arguably the world’s most ancient living religion, with roots reaching back into the prehistory of humankind. It’s an increasing segment of the American religious landscape. Our Speaker : A native of South India, Dr. Janamanchi is a third-generation member of the Brahmo Samaj Hindu reform movement. As a UU minister, he has served congregations in Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida and now, Bethesda, Maryland. He and his wife, Lalitha, have two young adult sons. In recognition of his service to the UUA and in social activism and global interfaith leadership, he recently was awarded an honorary doctorate from Meadville Lombard Theological School. (He and Rev.
