Since 1868, Memorial Day has honored all who have died serving in the armed forces of this country.  Today in words, music, and silence, we take time to show honor and compassion for their service and their sacrifice.  Let us also remember the gift of peace.  It is elusive yet attainable. What would it mean to sacrifice for peace?
