As the New Year approaches, talk of improving ourselves abounds. While these intentions are admirable, why not consider instead simply living the most honest and authentic life possible? What are the benefits and risks of living an honest and authentic life, and how do we know if we have succeeded?
A popular guest preacher at UUSS, Rev. Bonnie Dlott is a native of the Bay Area who served the Napa congregation for 11 years, retiring in 2017 for health reasons. Before being called to the ministry she earned a Ph.D.in Biological Chemistry. She identifies as a nature mystic, finding the sacred in the natural world and in acts of kindness. She is a wife and the mother of two adult children, one of whom lives in Sacramento.
