Most people have times when we feel vulnerable—perhaps by a choice to stretch ourselves if we’re lucky, or just by looking at the state of the world, or hearing a diagnosis, or looking at a pile of bills and wondering how to make ends meet. There may be no avoiding vulnerability, but there may be better ways of living with it.
