Remembering Our Loved Ones: Help Us Build an Altar of Remembrance

A highlight of our year is the Sunday service on Nov. 1 to honor our beloved dead. Even though our service will be on Zoom this year, we will join together in building a real, tangible altar of honor and remembrance at the church.
You are invited to bring photographs or small memorabilia honoring your beloved dead and add it to the altar in October. There will be battery-powered votive candles so you can place one on the altar.
On Sunday, Nov. 1, the completed altar will be featured on video throughout the service. Our member Jenn Richard has set up the altar in the Fahs Classroom (education building); the room will be open for you to stop by, place your item on the altar, and see what others have brought. With doors on three sides, the room is well ventilated, and we ask one family or person at a time to enter, wearing a mask.
Open times for the altar: Weekdays, Oct. 15-29: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (and later if you make an arrangement with the Office); on Sunday, Oct. 25, Rev. Roger will open it from 12:30-2:00 p.m.

I am not a member. I think I would like to come on this Sunday, October 25. I have two people to remember. I don’t know what I will bring.
Could the remembered be 4 legged?
Yes, definitely. There is already at least one picture on the altar of a pet!
