Three Kings’ Day

January 6 is the 12th day of Christmas known as the Feast of the Epiphany, or Three Kings’ Day for many Christians in Spain and Latin America. The holiday celebrates the biblical tale in which the Three Kings, or Three Wise Men, visit baby Jesus after his birth.
Spirit Play honored Three Kings’ Day this morning with a “rosca del rey” cake, a sweet bread meant to represent a King’s crown.
Thank you kindly to our Spirit Play Champion, Alecia for providing this morning’s content.
Also, huge thanks to our additional adult leaders: Julie and Laila!
UUSS appreciates you all.

The current Parent Page for the Spirit Play group has been posted on the Spirit Play page. Parent Pages allow Spirit Play families to revisit the story told during a Sunday morning RE class. These pages will be updated weekly so that you can make home connections, develop deeper meanings, and have a part in your child’s Spirit Play class. September 25th story: The Promises Lesson.
