Ministers’ Letter
Our Ministers’ Pledge Message
Needless to say, we are living in troubling times of crisis and uncertainty. Now more than ever, embracing community is an important source of hope, reassurance, self-care, and purpose. So many people have come to UUSS for these gifts in the past several months. Long-time members are grateful to have had the support of this congregation for many years.
Embracing community is also a crucial way of shaping the future. We cannot guarantee any outcomes, of course, but we can make our preferred future more likely. When we come together, we build strength, create new possibilities, and contribute toward the world that we long for.
When you show up, lend a hand, lift your voice, offer your time, greet another person, and provide a compassionate presence, you are shaping a strong future for our community. In addition, your financial support makes it possible to live out our mission: We come together to deepen our lives and be a force for healing in the world.
Your generous pledge will ensure the vitality of this congregation. It will sustain the programs provided by our dedicated volunteers, staff members, and ministers. Making a pledge to UUSS is about putting faith in one another as we go forward as a loving, energetic, and committed community. Generous giving sustains our mission.
Every year, we ministers give at least 6% of our gross income to UUSS. We are committed to its mission and values. We are grateful for your abundant energy, courage, trust, and love as we embrace community and shape the future together. We invite you to make the most generous pledge you can. Please know that your generosity will make a difference. Thank you!
Yours in service,
Rev. Roger & Rev. Lucy
