A hearty congratulations go out to Theater One Elly Award winners Lonon Smith for best original script for Treasure Island and to Shaleen Schmutzer-Smith for her performance as the Wicked Witch in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Both plays were performed at Theater One this past spring. The awards were presented at the recent Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA) Elly Award ceremonies honoring outstanding achievements of community theaters and artists in the Sacramento area. Elly Awards are named for the late Eleanor McClatchy, who was a devoted patron of the local arts.

This is quite an accomplishment for Lonon and Shaleen and for Theater One!
