Sacramento Chapter
Our Purpose and Activities
The Unitarian Universalists for Justince in the Middle East (UUJME) Sacramento Chapter, an affiliate of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Sacramento (UUSS), has been formed to fulfill locally the mission of the UUJME (www.uujme.org), a national organization dedicated to a peaceful and just resolution of the Palestine-Israel conflict that affirms the equality, dignity, freedom, and security of all peoples involved.
To fulfill this mission, the UUJME Sacramento Chapter undertakes a variety of activities, guided by Unitarian Universalist Principles, particularly those that speak to the inherent worth and dignity of every person; justice, equity, and compassion in all human relations; and the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all. Chapter activities are also guided by international law, including United Nations resolutions, the Geneva Conventions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and by actions and statements of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA).
