Your elected Board of Trustees meets monthly. Our next meeting will be Thursday, January 26 at 6:30 pm. Our meeting takes place in person in the UUSS library and on Zoom. You are welcome to join us either in person or by accessing the same Zoom stream link as the one used for the Sunday morning services. The agenda will be posted in advance of the meeting.

We think it is very important to keep the congregation updated about current and upcoming conversations. The Board’s role is to oversee issues of UUSS finances, facilities, personnel, and long-range planning; it makes decisions on policies rather than management decisions. Information from the December Board Meeting
• The Board discussed budget priorities for the upcoming budget year. These include setting a schedule to pay off a portion of the Endowment Trust loan each year; seed funds for capital improvement on church grounds; and funding for staff compensation and a ministerial intern for 2023-24.
• We welcome our new Religious Education Coordinator, Crystal Fountain, who will join our staff on Jan. 8. We hope you will consider how you can support our goals of community-building across all ages and stages of life and spiritual formation based on our Unitarian Universalist values. Leadership Opportunities
Political Action Awareness – Our UU values need to be in front of decision makers. The Social Justice Coordinating Council needs one to four people to work with community-based organizations that are actively advocating to address the homelessness crisis in Sacramento.
